Stacking The Shelves #15

Saturday, July 30, 2016

is hosted by Tynga´s Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

After many, many weeks of waiting and looking forward to this moment, I finally hold this beautiful book in my hands: The Angels´ Share by J. R. Ward.
And gosh, this book looks beautiful! I am totally in love with the color combination and how it feels in my hands.  After I enjoyed The Bourbon Kings very much, I am eager to see how the story will continue, how the Bradford will cope with everything. Can´t wait to read it.

The Angels´ Share by J. R. Ward

In Charlemont, Kentucky, the Bradford family is the crème de la crème of high society – just like their exclusive brand of bourbon. And their complicated lives and vast estate are run by a discreet staff who inevitably become embroiled in their affairs. This is especially true now, when the apparent suicide of the family patriarch is starting to look more and more like murder …
No one is above suspicion – especially the eldest Bradford son. Edward. The bad blood between his father and him is known far and wide, and he is aware that he could be named a suspect. As the investigation into the death intensifies, he keeps himself busy at the bottom of a bottle – as well as with his former horse trainer´s daughter. Meanwhile, the family´s financial future lies in the perfectly manicured hands of a business rival, a woman who wants Edwards all to herself.
Everything has consequences; everbody has secrets. And few can be trusted. Then, on the very brink of the family´s demise, someone thought lost to them forever returns to the fold. Maxwell Bradford has come home. But is he a savior … or the worst of all the sinners?

  1. Nice, Vi! I actually haven't gotten around to reading The Bourbon Kings yet, but I do own it. And I'm a big Ward fan, so I'm pretty sure I'll get around to Angel's Share, too.
Have a wonderful weekend and happy reading.
