Charm, irony and a great sense of humor and a lot more is what you´ll find here.
The story is written from Viv´s point of view and gives a great impression on her character as well as how she sees things in life.
Alice Clayton uses a simple language, her style is full of irony, charm and humor and the dialogues and scenes are big entertainment.
Clark reminded me very much of Superman. You know Clark Kent? How he acted in his daily life as a reporter? The way he looked; kind of helpless? Every time the librarian Clark Barrow showed up in this novel and Viv told the reader what he was wearing, I couldn´t help but think of Superman. But wait till you see Nighttime Clark; he´s a totally different guy.
Alice Clayton worked in the cosmetics industry for over a decade before picking up a pen (read laptop). She enjoys gardening but not weeding, baking but not cleaning up, and finally convinced her long-time boyfriend to marry her. Now, about that Bernese Mountain dog …
